Under prolonged exposure to micro-fine Saharan sand particles, basic filters lose their structural integrity, leading to premature air-end failures, elevated oil contamination, and increased energy costs. JCTECH uses advanced micro-glass fibers that capture sub-micron particles through diffusion, interception, and inertial impaction, maintaining low pressure drops throughout the filter's service life.
Oil-gas separation is vital for system protection and clean air delivery. As hot oil and compressed air leave the compressor screws, they form an aerosol containing oil droplets of varying sizes. The coalescing separator forces these micro-droplets to collide, form larger drops, and return to the lubrication circuit. Under Kaédi's high temperature conditions, standard separators can experience thermal bypass, leading to excessive oil carryover. Our replacement separators are built with multi-layered borosilicate glass fibers to keep oil carryover below 2 ppm, protecting downstream equipment.

Sahelian dust contains high ratios of crystalline silica, which is highly abrasive. When sucked into an air compressor, particles larger than 5 microns quickly wear down screw rotors and screw cylinders. Standard cellulose filters quickly become choked under high dust conditions, causing excessive differential pressure. JCTECH filters utilize multi-gradient synthetic media layers that capture fine particles throughout the filter depth rather than just on the surface, extending replacement intervals.
Different compressor oils (mineral, polyalkylene glycol (PAG), polyalphaolefin (PAO)) display different chemical interactions under high temperatures. Mineral oil degrades faster, producing varnishes that clog oil separators. JCTECH provides specialized filter elements and synthetic lubricants, ensuring the filter media resins do not chemically react with hot lubricant vapors, preventing collapse of the structural pleats.
Typically, separator elements should be replaced when the differential pressure reaches 0.8 to 1.0 bar (12-15 psi), or after 4,000 operational hours. However, in desert climates with high ambient temperatures, we recommend checking differential pressure monthly, as hot oil vapor speeds up chemical aging of the coalescing fiber media.
